My question is I have a fanuc 10t controland I am programing a part with a bar puller but I don't know how to run a predetermined amount of parts? On the newer machines I use a tool wear alarm but the 10t doesn't have this option. |

What I do is loop the program a predetemined number of times based on bar stock lenght, part lenght including cutoff and last but not least the amount of material you want left in the machine on the last pcs.
I like to pull the bar in the main program, then call the sub to make the part then when the loop count is done return to the main program and send the turret home to wait for more material.
I avoid having the puller, pull the last bit of material out of the machine as it may lead to a possible crash.
I've got the Royal HD bar Puller and I like it. Range is good and pulls to within a few thousands, never really measured accurately as I usually take a face cut. I usually cut material in 36" pcs and keep consevative RPM's. Not as expensive as a bar puller and doesn't require floor space.
The draw tube I use is just a pcs of alum tubing which I turned the OD to an interference fit to the back of the spindle. Just jam it in and make up plastic bushings that fit easily over barstock and thru draw tube.Light set screw pressure to keep attached to barstock yet allow the material pass when it reaches end of tube.
Just my 2 cents. _________________ --------------------------
Thanks for everything. |
