We have a problem with our radious...Any time ya program a radious smaller than .005 it puts a chamfer on the part...Called Okuma sent the program to them...they verafied that it should work..is there a parameter that controles this arc value ? If so where could it be located ? Please help....We also hed a tech there and the machine axis x and z turret , spindle ext...everything is fine with it ....

How fast are you turning? RPM and feed rate.
It could be as simple as this...sometimes older controls may not be able to keep up with the calculations needed to make the radius if you're running too fast.

I program down to .003" radius breaks on old Okumas (OSP 5000 control) with no problems using G76 (on 90° direction change) and G2 or G3 when associated with an angle.

Give sample program and exact tool number with holder. I'll try answering or maybe someone else could answer after seeing program.

Found the problem!

Parameter for minimun circuler Interpolition Error. Confused
