Q:
When I put in an SD card in the CCK then into my iPAD 1 that is already on, nothing happens. How do I see and then import my pictures?

A:
An SD card (or thumb drive) must have an MS-DOS (FAT) format like it would have received in the camera. Photos must be contained in a folder at the root level of the card, named DCIM. Photos must have 8 character filenames plus suffix, as they would have been named by the camera.

If the iPad still doesn't recognize the card or camera, try resetting/rebooting your iPad. Hold both the Home and Sleep Buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears. Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow. The iPad will restart in a couple of minutes. Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.
