According to Vincent Laforet www.laforetvisuals.com to reduce noise in your images in video:

With his Canon 5D Mark II

-Shoot at 1250 ASA (ISO) or below

-Use mutliples of 160, 320, 640 and 1250 on Canons

-320 is cleaner then 200 and also 100 ASA in most cases

-1250 better then 800 ASA on a Canon
