In order to immediately "fix" this issue, turn off the License Logging service. (Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services).
Legally, You do need to purchase additonal licenses, as you are only licensed for 5 connections at a time (including the server) and from a legal standpoint it needs to be fixed right away.
Disabling License Logging will allow you to work normally until you purchase and install more licenses for your server.
You can purchase User CALs or Device CALs (Devices might be a good chouce if you have PCs that are used by multiple people like in a call center.)
You will also need to purchase additonal Windows Server 2003 User CAL's, and you'll also need to purchase Exchange CAL's. You need 1 of each CAL for each user you plan on having connected at the same time on your network.
Also, if you have a Terminal Server, you need additional Terminal Server CAL's, etc. Microsoft makes you buy licensing for everything |
