Here are some of the settings for a mill with a 6MA controller:

Parameter 008 bit 7 [IRC] is a 1 for LF only for the EOB code. (0 is LF CR CR)
Parameter 024 bit 0 [STP2] is a 0 for 1 stop bit.
Parameter 025 all bits 1100111 for 2400 baud
Parameter 026 bit 7 [RSCB] is a 1 is for DC1-DC4 not used. I think 0 is okay but I haven’t tried it. It works as a 1 for me.
On the SET page :
Punch Code = 1 ( ISO )
Input Device 1 = 1 (1=RS232 0 = tape)
Input Device 2 = 1

Also note:
- Our 6MA can’t read the program number if it starts with an O use the colon : our 6TB can read the O or the : but the A model can’t.
- When we hit READ the EDIT on the bottom doesn’t flash. Sometimes it doesn’t even come up but the program will read in anyways.
- I leave a blank line at the top of my saved programs on my PC so Fanuc will see the first LF to know that the leader (man readable) are done and ready to load in the program. This is because the loader program I wrote many years ago I set it up that way.

I hope this help if not let me know if I can be of any more help.
