We have a rotary table connected to our machining center.
When we are not using it, it lies on the floor but
we have to keep wires connected because otherwise machine gives alarm....frustrating...
Is there some parameter, that we can disable 4th axis or
something else?
It would be nice to disconnect table and put it somewhere
to wait next job.Now it must be near the machine...
I would be very grateful if somebody can help me. |

I purchased a VMC a few years ago that was originally a 4 axis machine. The owner wanted the rotary so he kept it. When I got the machine it kept coughing alarms about a disconneted axis or some such.
I "turned off" the 4th axis drives by going into the "IPL" mode and telling it that it was now a 3axis VMC instead of 4. All went well!
The difference is that mine is Fanuc 11 equipped, so I'm not sure how a 0 would be. But there is "somewhere" a method for sutting off the 4th! _________________ --------------------------

Look for a parameter called "4th axis NG". On the Zero control you change that from a 1 to a 0 your 4th axis goes away. On some I have had to put a jumper in the I/O to make it work, but that might be Machine Tool Builder specific.
Hope this helps _________________ Dawn Mitchell
