Not Enough Common Variables in your control Question

Idea If you need more common variables than your control has you can use spare tool offsets in their place.

For example, if you used #100 to store a value for use in your macro you could change this to #2064 and use tool offset 64 instead. This has the advantage on some controls that the operator can change the tool offsets even if "Program Edit" is locked and he can't change variables. I have used this technique on Mazak Multiplex lathes to share variables between heads.
