If you are going to be doing some photography at a golf outing here are some tips to consider:
-Don't use flash as it disturbs them
-Get shots of them setting up
-People shaking hands as they meet
-People signing in
-Getting into their carts
-The general announcements to the golfers
-The line of carts pulling away to go to their T-off locations
-Get shots of people hitting out of sand traps, be sure to get the ball in the frame.
-Putters lining up the shot, especially when crouching down.
-When shooting swings, take some close up bust shots as well as complete body shots.
-Anticipate facial expressions.

If taking pictures of each foursome/group then:
-Select your one location that has a good backdrop and get there before the first golfers do.
-Try to select a location that is close to a T-box as well as a hole so that when you are not photographing the groups you can be getting shots of putters.
-Use flash/strobes. Set your camera speed to 200 (or your sync speed) adjust the aperture so that the background is exposed right.
-Mark a spot to have them stand and by using a stand-in adjust the flash power so that the people are properly exposed.
-Hand out info cards to the group telling them where they can get their prints.

Printing On-Site:
-Use a separate memory card that will hold just the group shots so that they can be printed more quickly on-site.
-Ask for a place inside to set up the printer
-Start printing before the last group, maybe with 3 or 4 to go, but keep shooting on different memory card to give to your printer after the last group.
-Place prints in envelopes that have been pre-printed with the event title, date, logo as well as your logo, name and info on where they can view/purchase more.
