I got a good deal on a SAIMP (Italian)vertical knee mill. It is a Model #FV-0 with a TVA-1 head. Made in 1967. It is a rather unique mill, but it is in great condition as it has been well taken care of.

I need to know how to properly lubricate the ways and the head, and I need to know where I can get the proper wrenches to move the ram--it requires a wrench with a round pin and rectangular serrations on the perimeter. I have never seen anything quite like it--Takes a little getting used to, but a very nice knee mill.

If anyone has any info I would really appreciate it.

I have a Saimp with TVA-1 head.

I use oil W40 and anything between W40 and W50 should fit.
