Hi Guys
Today I turned on the CNC lathe (Fanuc OT-C) as normally and the CRT was rolling or scrolling vary fast then began to slow down to a stop (took about 1 min.). This has never happened before, have any of you guys seen this.
I hope there is nothing majorly wrong with it. What do you guys think. |

Consider the location of the monitor. Magnetic fields around other devices (such as transformers, appliances, fluorescent lights, and other monitors) can cause screen jitter or wavy, unreadable, rolling, or distorted screen images.
I have seen it where operators will put strong magnets on the site of the machine to hold papers and this will definently do it. |

What might be happening is that the old monitors use capaciters that take time to fully "load" and that they are now just taking longer.
Another thing is that the horizontal hold is starting to go, again because it is taking longer for the components to get to the point where they work.
Probably going to have to replace the monitor, or have a TV repair tech look it over. _________________ --------------------------
