E-Mail Forwarding Character Remover

This simple tool will remove those annoying '>' symbols (or others) that are inserted when an e-mail has been forwarded, and accumulate after being forwarded several times.

  1. Select the appropriate character(s) (checkboxes)
  2. Paste your text into the first (upper) box below.
  3. Press the button below the first (Upper) box, and your cleaned up text will appear in the second (lower) box below.

Note: The '>' selection is pre-checked for you, click it to uncheck it.
Note: The | * : = and < are also included for your convenience, but will be removed if they are included within the text to be cleaned.

  1. Internet Explorer Users:
    Retrieve the cleaned text in the box below. Simply click the "Copy To Your Clipboard" button and the entire text will be automatically copied to your Clipboard ready for you to paste where you need it.
    If for some reason the "Copy To Your Clipboard" button will not work for you, Please use the "Highlight All" button.
